Lord of the Flies

Phoenix Dance Theatre are working in partnership with Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures and Bradford Alhambra Theatre to give boys and young men from across Yorkshire and beyond, a once in a lifetime opportunity to work with professional dance artists from Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures.

Those successfully selected will perform alongside the company in an extraordinary adaptation of William Golding’s classic novel, Lord of the Flies, choreographed by Olivier Award nominated Scott Ambler from 3rd – 6th December 2014. 

TEACHERS: We’re offering free workshops between May – July to schools, colleges, sports clubs other youth groups  to identify young men aged 11-25 with enthusiasm, potential and commitment to progress to audition. We’re prioritising with those groups nearest the performance venue (i.e. within the Bradford local authority) but groups from the West Yorkshire area may book a workshop subject to availability. These will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

INDIVIDUALS: Not sure if we’re visiting your school/group or or live in the wider Yorkshire area? Please register your interest by inputting your details on the New Adventures website.We’ll then be in touch about one of our open workshops at Bradford Alhambra on 5 July, 12 July and 13 September. At these workshops individuals will be identified to progress to audition.
