For over a decade, the work of Phoenix Dance Theatre’s education department has inspired, educated and engaged people of all ages. Supporting the ground-breaking work on stage, our dedicated team of dance practitioners deliver a range of creative and stimulating projects that widen access to dance for all. Our education programme works with people of all abilities – from those experiencing a first taste of dance to our nationally recognised Youth Academy, which is ensuring Phoenix’s legacy by helping to train the next generation of budding professional contemporary dancers.
We work with schools and groups throughout the UK to support the company's performances when On Tour, tailor Workshops to specific group's needs and work with key partner schools in the Leeds area in our groundbreaking Schools Partnership Scheme. Our Saturday School aims to provide the first step on the ladder for aspiring contemporary dancers from age 6 upwards, whilst our Adult Contemporary Dance Classes, which run on a Thursday night, are open to all!
