Youth Academy

Made up of the very best of passionate and talented 15 to 19 year olds from throughout the region, Phoenix Dance Theatre’s Youth Academy meets twice a week to work on technique and performance skills. Based in Phoenix’s dedicated studio in the company’s state-of-the-art new building, the group also take part in Easter and Summer Intensive Courses which give them the opportunity to work with recognised choreographers and dancers of the company, creating work that is performed at regional platforms and throughout the UK at other events. Many graduates from the Academy programme have successfully auditioned for vocational training, potentially leading them towards a career in dance.
