Phoenix is working with Northern Ballet Theatre (NBT) in building a future for dance in Leeds for dance artists, enthusiasts and audiences across the north of England. The dance centre will bring together the UK's leading classical and contemporary dance theatre companies. The six-storey building at Quarry Hill in central Leeds will be purpose built to meet the demands of our two touring dance companies. It will have seven dance studios, including a 200-seat studio theatre, health suite, wardrobe facilities, office space, restaurant facilities and public exhibition space.

The new building will also allow us to develop our work, expand our reach and deliver a range of benefits to existing and new audiences. momentum will give our supporters a range of opportunities to support this campaign for a new building. Designed by award-winning architects Jacobs, work will start on site in Spring 2009 and the new building will open summer 2010.
