Phoenix Dance Theatre are offering London schools who deliver GCSE Dance the opportunity to book a half-day Shadows workshop at your school on Monday 6 or Tuesday 7 October 2025.

Bookings are available for either 9.00-11.30 or 13.00-15.30 for a maximum number of 25 students at a cost of £320.00+VAT. This means that if you have a fairly small cohort, you could join together with another school at one venue and split the cost.

Workshops will be delivered by former Phoenix Dance Theatre company dancer & Shadows practitioner Natalie Alleston, and will include:

1. Contemporary dance technique class/warm-up
2. Shadows workshop including taught repertoire followed by creative tasks
3. Interactive revision resource booklet for each student
4. Mini lecture demonstration analysing features of the dance work including:

• • Costume design
  • Set and props
  • Lighting
  • Accompaniment
  • Character and themes
  • Choreography and choreographic approach
  • How the above link to the choreographic intention of the work
