Phoenix Flare!
30 Nov 2016
Phoenix dancer, Jack Thomson who joined the company under the ‘Jerwood Weston Creative bursaries’ departs the company after a year and half filled with performances, laughs, and creativity.
Alongside performing, Jack also has a keen interest in photography and saw the opportunity to celebrate Phoenix Dance Theatre 35th anniversary year through a series of dance/fashion images.
Working with the current female dancers of the company, Jack aimed to capture the spirit of celebration that was created in the performance week of Phoenix@Home in late September 2016. The Phoenix@Home performances showcased the success of the company through out it’s history, bringing together founding members, the present company and the academy for a week long ‘party’.
To celebrate the final month’s of Phoenix’s 35th Anniversary year and to say a farewell to Jack, we wanted to share the ‘Phoenix flare’ captured by Jack photography and we envision that same flare will continue to capture audiences for the next 35 years. You can see all the pictures here on the Mode & Motion website – enjoy!
