Tishainy was born in Curaçao and has been dancing since she was 6 years old. 

After finishing secondary school in the Netherlands, she moved to London to study at Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance, graduating with a BA (hons) degree in 2023. During her training she has danced repertoire by choreographers Jiří Kylián, Marco Goecke and Matthew Bourne, among others.  

Tishainy joined Phoenix Dance Theatre as a Junior Dancer in August 2023.
