Tom is an experienced fundraising leader, having worked in charitable and third sector organisations for over a decade. After starting a career in Higher Education, he re-trained in Events Management at Leeds Beckett University in 2006.

Having worked on events ranging from the White Rose Awards to the Great Yorkshire Show for Welcome to Yorkshire, Tom moved into community engagement as part of the Inspire Programme of the London 2012 Games. His fundraising career started after the Games ended and he transferred his events and community engagement skills into managing challenge events for a hospice, before moving into high value gala events for The Prince’s Trust. Since then, Tom’s skills and interests have continued to diversify with Trusts and Statutory and Head of Income roles at brainstrust, and most recently at Mencap, which saw him secure major funding partnerships including The National Lottery Community Fund and British Gas.
