Phoenix Dance Theatre presents a site specific piece as part of HONOUR, a commemoration of the loss, sacrifice and bravery of a generation during World War I. This free one off performance features an artistic collaboration created by visual, performance and musical artists including producer Craig Morrison to Choral Director, Jeff Borradaile, animators Sean Vicary and Hartung Trenz.
Sharon Watson devised the choreography for HONOUR taking inspiration from the stories of the soldiers and the men and women who fought for freedom in World War I. Other forms of war and destructions such as the suffering of individuals, the grieving of loved ones, the right to live and not just survive are also referenced.
A powerful film by Mark Huskisson acts as backdrop to this emotionally charged piece.
