Phoenix Dance Theatre are excited to offer subsidised creative dance classes for young people with additional needs aged 6 – 18 years, thanks to funding from the Leeds Short Breaks Partnership.
Ideal for those passionate about dance or looking to try something new, Illuminate Dance gives young people the opportunity to make new friends, learn new skills and perform. Our programme aims to improve participant’s dance technique as well as their health and fitness whilst developing their social and communication skills in a supportive and creative environment.
Location Two: Cockburn School, Gipsy Lane, Leeds, LS11 5TT
8 – 12 years: 12.30-13.30
7th January – 18th March 2017 (no class on 18th Feb)
22nd April – 1st July 2017 (no class on 27th May)
Thanks to our funding from the Leeds Short Breaks Partnership we are able to subsidise these sessions and therefore request a contribution of £25 per term per participant to attend. We do not wish fees to deter a young person from attending, if required please contact us to discuss possible options.
How to take part:
Young people are welcome to attend alone or with a parent/carer for one-to-one-support. Our staff are very experienced in dealing with a range of physical and behavioural needs, working in the studio at a ratio of four young people to every one member of the Phoenix team.
Admissions are taken year round subject to availability. For more information or to book a place, please contact the Access and Education department by calling 0113 236 8130 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
