Healthy Holidays – Dance for Health

Phoenix Dance Theatre strives to provide affordable childcare to combat holiday inactivity and isolation, and to provide valuable respite for parents and carers. Over the course of the year we deliver a variety of holiday clubs.

During these bespoke classes, which range from formal contemporary dance to child-led creative workshops, the children develop an understanding of the importance of dance – how it can keep them physically active, fit, healthy and happy. With support from Leeds Community Foundation, we are pleased to be running another year of the FREE Dance for Health Club.

The FREE Dance For Health – Healthy Holidays, which is suitable for absolute beginners as well as confident young dancers, will run for 4 days in the holidays! Each day we welcome groups of children aged 5-7 and aged 8-11, to work with our leading dance practitioners in an immersive dance and craft week which includes; technique & choreography, craft creation, sharing’s and cool down sessions.

All activities are delivered by our leading professional dance practitioners. Snacks and a hot lunch will also be provided each day, at no additional cost.
