Schools’ Shadows Workshops

Phoenix Dance Theatre offer those who deliver GCSE Dance the opportunity to book a full day or half-day Shadows workshop at your school.

Bookings are available for up to 25 students at a cost of £260 + VAT for a half-day workshop, or £420 + VAT for a full-day workshop (exact total price may vary depending upon travel costs).

Workshops will be delivered by Phoenix Dance Theatre practitioners, and will include:

  1. Contemporary dance technique class/warm-up
  2. Shadows workshop including taught repertoire and creative tasks
  3. Interactive revision resource booklet for each student
  4. Mini lecture demonstration analysing features of the dance work including:
    • Costume design
    • Set and props
    • Lighting
    • Accompaniment
    • Character and themes
    • Choreography and choreographic approach
    • How the above link to the choreographic intention of the work
