The City of Dance shines for Light Night Leeds 2016

7 Oct 2016

The 12th annual Leeds Light Night will take place on 6 & 7 October this year and will explore the elements earth, wind, air and fire.

As part of the city’s biggest free multi-arts event, four of the city’s leading dance organisations have joined forces to create Compound, a new piece of dance work to be performed on Friday 7 October.

Choreographed by award winning choreographer Gary Clarke and independent dance artist Antonio Borriello, Compound is a partnership project between Northern Ballet, Phoenix Dance Theatre, Northern School of Contemporary Dance and Yorkshire Dance.

Compound uses the four elements of life as a springboard for this energetic creation that will unfold around you in the theatre. Submerge yourself in a visually arresting environment, defined and sculpted by light.

There will be four chances to see a performance on Friday 7 October and entry is free.
