Help Phoenix Youth Academy perform at Making Moves and U.Dance
2 Jun 2026

We’re delighted to share that our Phoenix Youth Academy Leeds Seniors group has been selected for two incredible national performance opportunities this summer – and we need your support to help get them there.
A message from our participants:
“After a highly competitive selection process, we have been invited to perform at both Making Moves on the Sadler’s Wells East stage in London and U.Dance at the Tramway in Glasgow with workshops at Scottish Ballet Studios this summer 2026. This is a huge achievement, and we could not be prouder to represent Leeds.
This is our chance to perform on prestigious national stages, connect with other like-minded young performers from across the UK, and represent Leeds and Yorkshire with pride.
To make this possible, we need to cover the costs of travel, accommodation, and meals for 18 dancers (ages 16 to 19) and the Phoenix staff supporting them throughout the trips. Thanks to the generosity of donors and supporting trusts and foundations, we have already raised over half of the total costs. We now need to raise an additional £3,500 to ensure every dancer can take part.
We need to secure £175 for every dancer in order to fully support their participation. Any contribution — no matter the size — brings us closer to our goal, and no donation amount is too small!
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with friends, family, and your community could also help us reach our target.
Thank you so much for your support!”
We’ve already raised over half of the funds needed thanks to the generosity of our supporters. However, we still need to raise £3500 to cover travel, accommodation, and meals, ensuring every dancer can take part.
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this with your friends and family.
Help us give these talented young dancers the opportunity to shine on a national stage and create memories they’ll carry with them for years to come.
