Phoenix Dance Theatre announces dates for rural tour

3 May 2019

Phoenix Dance Theatre, Britain’s longest standing contemporary dance company outside London will present audiences with their ReFINED 2019 tour – a thrilling mixed programme of excerpts from the Company’s repertoire.

This year Phoenix Dance Theatre is delighted to present audiences in Devon, Somerset and Cumbria with extracts from the award-winning production Windrush: Movement of the People by the Company’s Artistic Director, Sharon Watson, Maybe Yes Maybe, Maybe No Maybe by Aletta Collins, Calyx by Sandrine Monin and Lux by rising choreographer Michael Marquez.

The programme is specially curated by Phoenix Dance Theatre’s Artistic Director, Sharon Watson and is designed specifically to bring the Company to rural, unconventional and hard to reach performance locations.

ReFINED 2019 provides audiences with a unique opportunity to see Phoenix Dance Theatre perform in smaller, local venues and provides ticket buyers with an intimate way of engaging with the work and the dancers. The programme showcases some of the most breath-taking movements choreographed by a number of leading industry names. Phoenix Dance Theatre’s ReFINED 2019 programme is complimented by education workshops delivered by current and ex-company dancers and is facilitated by Phoenix Dance Theatre’s Access & Education department.
