We are pleased to announce that Phoenix Dance Theatre will be performing at this year’s Scrit_tmacher Festival in Germany.

From 10 to 13 April, Phoenix Dance Theatre will perform a double bill featuring Miguel Altunaga’s Cloudburst and Marcus Jarrell Willis’ Terms of Agreement. With tickets already sold out, this marks the first time both pieces will be presented to an international audience. First performed during Phoenix’s 2024 production BELONGING: Loss. Legacy. Love., Cloudburst and Terms of Agreement powerfully explore the nuances of the human experience through spiritual storytelling.

Miguel Altunaga’s Cloudburst explores mankind’s relationship to tribe and community, mythology and deity, ritual and spirituality, and how choices made by our ancestors shape our cultures, as well as our very being.

Terms of Agreement

Marcus Jarrell Willis’ Terms of Agreement focuses on the ethereal, spiritual, and kismet perspectives, unravelling the eternal question: What is true lovc? Further, once you have negotiated the terms, will you accept the agreement?
