Phoenix Dance Theatre are delighted to be part of 2018’s Latitude Festival, UK Festival 2017’s Winner of Best Major Festival. Latitude returns to Henham Park, Suffolk next month for a weekend of music, theatre, dance and film, and this year Phoenix will be joining the bill.

On Saturday the 14^th July, Phoenix will join the prestigious lineup of dance companies on the Waterfront Stage, including Balletboyz, Matthew Bourne’s New Adventure and Company Wayne Mcgregor.

Festival goers can see a special performance of Phoenix’s acclaimed Windrush: Movement of the People. 

Windrush commemorates the 70^th Anniversary of the arrival of SS Empire Windrush – the ship that brought the first large group of immigrants from the Caribbean to the UK. Fusing music and dance, Windrush shines a light on an important era of British history and celebrates the black culture that is now part of the country’s fabric, described as ‘infectiously upbeat’ by The Guardian.
