Alina joined Phoenix Dance Theatre following two years working as a technician in a busy York theatre and a variety of freelance roles.

Having begun her interest in performing arts as an actor and creative facilitator, she found a love for technical theatre, taking on many roles within a production team as a multi-skilled technician. She has worked across different genres and scales from smaller, non-traditional theatre spaces, outdoor festival stages and fringe performances to large scale touring plays and musicals, contemporary dance and repertory opera seasons.

She is excited to reignite her creative background, applying creative ways of working to a technical role, particularly exploring the part lighting plays in creating beautiful and dynamic visuals in contemporary dance.
