Joseph Adamson

Professional Placement Dancer

Born and raised in Cheshire, Joseph grew his passion for movement through the need for creativity and self-expression.  

He started training at the age of 14 with SMG Dance Collective. At 16, he joined LIPA Sixth Form College where he discovered his interest in contemporary dance. Continuing his studies, Joseph trained at Northern School of Contemporary Dance where he performed works by Bruce Wong, Thanh-Tu ‘Sattva’ Nguyen, Dr Joseph Mercier, Jamaal Burkmar as well as restaged works by Robert Cohan and Jasmin Vardimon Company. 

He also trained at international dance institutions such as b12 research or die and Orsolina28 where he performed a new work by FLOCK. He has toured ‘Britney in Wonderland’ and ‘POPODYSSEY’ productions with Glitterbomb Dancers around Yorkshire.  

Joseph continues to study at Northern School of Contemporary Dance for a MA with a Professional Placement with Phoenix Dance Theatre.
