Meg Gibson
Operations Manager
Meg joined Phoenix Dance Theatre in October 2023, relocating to Leeds after a period of travelling in New Zealand and SE Asia. Previously to this she had been working in charity operations and comms, following a Masters degree in Journalism, Media and Communications from Cardiff University.
Also coming from a dance and theatre background, Meg trained through the Royal Ballet School associate programme and at The Arts Educational School Tring Park, leading to a career in performance, teaching, choreography, movement direction and theatre production. During this time she also completed a degree in Film and English Literature from the University of Southampton, and worked partially in charity support and events/project management.
Teaching credits include a range of schools, universities and arts companies across London and the South of England, including dance director for the youth performance programme at The Rose Theatre and as a regular instructor at Pavilion Dance South West.
Having moved away from performance and teaching to work fully in charity operations, Meg was excited to return to the dance industry with PDT, particularly as she had followed the company since being a student. Meg is enjoying getting to know Leeds and looks forward to further developing in her role at Phoenix.
