Rory Clarke

Company Dancer

Rory Clarke is a dance artist who exists within and between both contemporary dance and the underground street dance scene.

He started dancing at around age 8, learning street dance styles and later began delving deeper into the underground scene. He has since become an active and visible member of Hip Hop and House dance communities in the UK and globally.

Alongside this, he began to engage with contemporary dance in a local youth company, going on to join NYDC from 2020-2022, working with Alessandra Seutin. While training at Rambert School, he had the privilege of working with Ioannis Mandafounis (Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company) and Akram Khan. He has also toured with Far From The Norm/Botis Seva’s ‘BLKDOG’ and joined Ballet BC as a guest dancer performing ‘Frontier’ by Crystal Pite for their UK tour.  Rory has also worked with Ekleido and Blacbrik and has found great pleasure in working within innovative movement languages.
