Sam graduated from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts with a BA(Hons) in Theatre & Performance Technology alongside working in venue management in the Merseyside area.

Following a move back to West Yorkshire, Sam transitioned into touring theatre with a specialism in production electrics and honed his skills over the next 10 years whilst touring with Northern Ballet. A varied freelance career, balanced alongside, sees him looking after music festivals for a Norwegian production company every summer, in addition to producing set electrics and special effects for companies such as Netflix and Paramount Pictures.
