Phoenix Dance Theatre is the UK’s longest standing contemporary dance company outside of London. Since the company’s small beginnings in 1981, it has grown to be a key Northern forerunner in contemporary dance. For four decades the company has performed across the globe, educating and inspiring audiences through the medium of dance.   

Alongside the performing company sits a successful Education programme. Phoenix Dance Theatre’s Learning & Education team aims to empower, engage and inspire through high-quality dance provision. Our Education team are committed to changing lives through dance and we focus on three key strands:    

1.      training dancers of the future   

2.      children and young people   

3.      the hard to reach   

We are seeking Freelance Practitioners to join our Pastoral Team based in South Yorkshire to supervise weekly sessions and performances in schools and community settings across the region, particularly in Sheffield and Doncaster. Applicants should preferably hold a recent DBS, chaperone license and First Aid.
