On Sunday 24 January 2027, we are excited to bring back NO LIMIT – an event to celebrate the distinctive energy and dynamism that boys bring to the stage.

As a company founded by three Black British men from Chapeltown, Leeds, we strive to challenge the stigma and preconceptions around gender in dance across all of our provisions here at Phoenix Dance Theatre.

As part of our commitment to providing performance opportunities for young people, we’re proud to deliver Youth Dance Platforms every year. We invite the very best of local, regional and national talent to perform at the Stanley & Audrey Burton Theatre to present their work in front of an audience of up to 230 guests.

NO LIMIT was produced to celebrate the distinctive energy and dynamism that boys bring to to the stage. The programme is made up of a broad-spectrum of performances by young people from community, school, college and university groups, through to our Phoenix Youth Academy alumni and Phoenix Dance Theatre company dancers. NO LIMIT highlights the inspirational nature of dance and showcases the many opportunities available for young male dancers locally, nationally and beyond.

The event will include workshops and warm-ups led by professional Phoenix Dance Theatre company dancers who identify as men, as well as technical rehearsals. The event will end with the live theatre performance in front of an audience.
