As part of Jazzart Dance Theatre’s 50 Years of Dance Celebratory Festival they are remounting Requiem: Journeys of the Soul. Enjoy a sneak peek of rehearsals on stage at Artscape Theatre, Cape Town, below.

In Leeds we had the honour to perform alongside Opera North Chorus, Orchestra and guest Soloists. For this leg of the international production our two dance companies will perform alongside Cape Town Opera Soloists Julia Portela Piñón (Alto) and Mongezi Mosoaka (Tenor) with guest artists Setsoane Ntseki (Soprano) and Simon Shibambu (Bass), who will be reprising his performance from Leeds earlier this year. They will be joined by the award-winning Cape Town Opera Chorus and Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra which will be conducted by Bernhard Gueller (Requiem) and Chad Hendricks (After Tears: After a Requiem).
