Earlier this week our dancers went on location to the awe-inspiring surroundings of Kirkstall Abbey in Leeds to film the trailer for Requiem. What better place to immortalise our upcoming production with Opera North for LEEDS 2023!

Mozart’s haunting choral music soared through the 800+ year-old remains of the church and Chapter House while our dancers channelled the ethereal atmosphere of these extraordinary surroundings to perform excerpts from the work like never before. We can’t wait to share the film with you in the coming weeks but, for now, you can enjoy some of the behind-the-scenes photos captured during the shoot.

Huge thanks to Opera North’s film unit for shooting the trailer and photographer Simon Hulme whose stunning image made us cover stars of the Yorkshire Post. What an astounding day!
